High Jump

In school we have been doing high jump, because it is almost Athletics that's why we are practising high jump. I am one of the best high jumpers in the school my friend Noah can jump really high and I think that he is the best high jumper in the school but there are a lot more good jumpers in my school.

I really liked high jump because we got to do a Elimination round a elimination round is if you hit the crossbar and it fall down then you are out but if you jump over the crossbar then that means you are still in the game. I really liked that you had to jump over the crossbar because I actually jumped higher than I thought I would and I played football and I hit the ball with my head a lot and you will have to jump high so now I jump higher then usual.

📘Maths Slide📗

In school we did a Maths tumble  and had to try to finish all of the 43 slides the one that i'm going to talk about now is Multiplication and Division the green slide. You had to solve multiplication problems using repeated addition on it was really easy and hard at the same time it was hard at the same time because the numbers got bigger and also really really harder then the first question. It showed an example so we would know how to solve the question easier and to make it easier to understand there was a video showing us how to solve the Multiplication and Division slide. I had to get some help on that because I didn't under stand the video and the example so I went to the teacher and I knew how to do it. I really liked the Maths Slides because it was really challenging for us it would teach us thing that we don't know.

In Te Waka Ako we have been doing a rugby world cup slideshow because rugby is one of New Zealand's best played sports. I think my favourite slide would be the New Zealand  Rugby players word search because it was really interesting to find them. It was pretty hard but Miss Daily said that you could get some help from a buddy or a friend there were about 24 players to find. The other slide that was my favourite was when you got to get a picture of your favorite New Zealand player and then put it on to a slide then search facts about the player and write it on a text box. Futsal

                   ⚽Futsal⚽
On the 16th of October we had a session of Futsal, if you don't know what Futsal is it is similar to Football but it has a little bit of different rules when it is an out you don't throw the ball but you kick the ball and you cant score while you taking the out. The first thing we had to do is get a ball and start to dribble it when our coach says to stop we have to hold the ball and then get in to a number of group he says. The next session we had to go out side and try to juggle the ball and keep counting of our high score I think I did pretty good maybe because I play Football. And then it was the tricky part we had to try to juggle the ball with our knees and I think I did a little good at it because I got more than 5 so that's my high score with a Futsal ball. It was time to have a match and our couch separated us in to 2 teams and 2 of my friends were in the other team and one of my other friends were in my team.
We each got a number and when our says our number we run to the ball and try to score in a really small goal I scored a goal on everyone I went against.
Futsal was really fun and I really liked it.                                                            

Cross Country

On The 11th of September we had cross country, in class we were put in to groups and went to each rotation. The first rotation my group went to was eating the combo the combo had a slice of cake and an Ice Block, most people got a brownie because they didn't really like banana cake so that's why they got a slice of brownie instead.
The next rotation we did was trying to kick the ball in all of the Football net there were 2 big goals and 2 small goals, to make it more challenging the leaders got to be goal keeper. I didn't really like the next rotation skipping because I couldn't skip and cause I kept on hitting the rope on my foot and I got a really big bruise from that.

My favourite rotation was the obstacle course it was my favourite because the fist course you had these rings and had to go around the rope to complete There were 13 bits of the course my favourite part was when you go on the fireman pole. when it was time for to watch the year fives run the year 6's had to help them go the right way. When it was time for the year 6's to run the whole school were watching us run they were cheering a lot. I love Cross Country and I think it's good for exercise.

Litter Blitz

On the 24th of July we went out of school and picked up lots of rubbish.
There were about 9 groups in the seniors that went all around the whole school and picked up rubbish.
We wore a badge and a  bright neon green reflective sash we wore a sash so we don't get lost and so we be seen by traffic.
Every group had turns using the pick up stick to pick up all of the rubbish. We picked up the rubbish because we were trying to clean up the environment.
My group went up the back of Waikowhai Primary School and found rubbish like cans, bottles, glass, junk food, foam we also found 20 cents and $20.
It was pretty hot and it was a long way back to Waikowhai Primary School. It was 12:40 and we had to get back to school because it was almost lunch time.
The group next to us was really far away from us and we had to catch up.
When we got back to the school from picking up lots of rubbish, we dumped all of the rubbish in a really big bag we saw things like diapers, fans, socks, and also ripped pants.
The kids who found the Golden tickets got free T-Shirts they were really cool.

Squash!

This term every Wednesday we have squash lessons we had Squash sessions there were 4 courts and 4 groups, My friend Faris is the best in the our class and our Squash teacher says he is the best in the whole school. Nikhil in our class is the second best in the whole school and I think its because he times his shots and moves a lot.

In the 4 courts there are 2 rackets and 1 squash ball we compete against the people in your group for e.g if you win you are still in the game but if you lose you have to go to the back of the line and wait till its your turn.

Squash is quite easy but when it's your first time playing it could be a little hard but you'll get use to it if you play a lot if you don't have a Squash court just use a wall or just make a court by using wood.

In Squash there are 3 lines the tops line is called outer line the middle is surf line and the bottom is called the tin line. One day when there was about 10 minutes left we had a match and our Squash teacher pick player who played very well and improved there skills. 

And we also needed a ball boy I was the ball boy the ball boy had to be at the back of the court because the ball always goes to the back of the court when someone hits it to high.
